By downloading, installing or playing WordQuest ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
1. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use WordQuest on devices you own or control, for your own private entertainment. This licence does not transfer ownership of the app to you.
2. What you may not do
- Copy, redistribute, resell, rent or sub-licence the app
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it
- Modify the app or its stored data in order to obtain coins, hints, levels or the ad-free upgrade without paying for or earning them
- Use automated tools or emulated input to play on your behalf
- Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice
3. Virtual items and purchases
Coins, hints and the ad-free upgrade are digital items with no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person, or redeemed outside the app.
All purchases are processed by Google Play. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy and any statutory rights you have in your country. We cannot issue refunds directly.
Coins buy convenience only. Every hint in the game can also be earned by playing, so a purchase never grants access to content or capability that a non-paying player cannot reach.
4. Advertising
The free version of the app displays advertisements. Rewarded ads are always optional — you choose whether to watch one. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or for any products or services they promote.
5. Availability and offline play
The core game works fully offline. Advertising and purchases require an internet connection and rely on third-party services which may be unavailable, delayed or discontinued at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of those features.
6. Your saved progress
Your progress is stored only on your device. We do not operate a cloud save service. This means that if you uninstall the app, reset your device, switch to a new phone, or clear the app's data, your progress cannot be recovered. Please keep this in mind before uninstalling.
7. Intellectual property
All content in WordQuest — including the source code, level design, puzzle generator, word lists, artwork, sound effects, user interface and the WordQuest name and logo — is original work owned by the publisher and protected by copyright and trademark law.
8. Updates and changes to the app
We may release updates that add, change or remove features. We may also adjust game balance, including reward amounts, hint prices and difficulty. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated version.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or that defects will be corrected.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or lost progress, arising out of your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws in your country of residence.
