SnapPDF ("the app", "we") is an offline-first application that converts images into PDF documents and provides local PDF tools. This policy explains what information is and is not handled when you use the app.
1. Data we collect
We collect nothing. SnapPDF does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal information. Specifically:
- No account or sign-up is required.
- Your images, PDFs and documents are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
- We have no servers and no databases.
2. Files and permissions
- Photos / media: accessed only through the system photo picker when you choose images to convert. Only the files you explicitly select are used.
- Camera: used only when you choose "Camera Scan" to capture a document page.
- Storage: generated PDFs are saved in the app's private folder on your device. You control sharing, printing and deleting them.
Deleting the app deletes all documents stored in its private folder.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
SnapPDF is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob, a third-party service by Google LLC. AdMob may collect and process certain data to show ads, such as:
- Advertising ID (a resettable device identifier)
- IP address and coarse location
- Device and diagnostic information

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).
4. Internet use
The app's features work completely offline. An internet connection is used only to load ads (AdMob). No document content is ever sent over the network.
5. Children
SnapPDF is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
6. Security
Because your files never leave your device, the main protection is your device itself. PDFs you protect with a password are encrypted using standard PDF encryption. Keep your passwords safe — a protected PDF cannot be opened without its password.
7. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
