ScanFlow – PDF Scanner

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 18, 2026

ScanFlow ("the app", "we") is a document scanner for Android designed around one principle: your documents belong to you.

No account No cloud No analytics Works offline

1. Documents stay on your device

Every scan, photo, PDF, and text extraction (OCR) is processed and stored exclusively on your device. ScanFlow has no servers, requires no account, and never uploads, syncs, or backs up your documents anywhere. Deleting a document in the app, or uninstalling the app, permanently removes that data from your device.

2. Data we collect

ScanFlow itself collects no personal data. We have no analytics, no crash reporting, and no tracking of any kind.

3. Permissions we request

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

ScanFlow is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob is a third-party service operated by Google that may collect device information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, and coarse device data to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's policies:

You can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ads personalization in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Ads never appear while you are scanning, and no document content is ever shared with advertisers.

5. Children's privacy

ScanFlow is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

6. Security

Your documents are stored in the app's private storage area, which other apps cannot access. Optionally, you can protect exported PDFs with AES-256 password encryption.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
